We are ready to begin our cutting and I am
going to start the cut here at the rim and you can see as I turn this it is ovaled and
out of shape so the first thing I am going to do is come across the top or the rim of
the bowl and I’ll do that now. I put the tool on the tool rest and the flute is facing away
from me and I very slowly bring the tool forward, not too much of a bite, I want just a slight
cut.
