Woodworking Tips & Trick
This video is not a fair representation of your amazing skills. You usually end up with a job well done. You usually show how to avoid your comical errors. (My personal favorite video was then one time you made ice cream..unplugged the fridge cause it was making a lot of noise…and promptly forgot to plug it back in when the ice cream mix was placed in the freezer.). Love your style and I hope I get to see the rest of this project soon. Peace brother
This is a great video for me because I kept hearing about how Ikea cabinets were pretty good quality, etc. Now that I can actually see how they go together, I don't think I would buy any. Yes the sides are nice and thick, and yes the drawer systems they use (Blum) are awesome, but I really don't like the 1/8" backs, the lack of proper top braces (there's no "wood" edge at the top), and the feet that just push-in (I prefer the ones that push into cups that are screwed to the bases.
I worked for over 5 years building high-end kitchen cabinets, and our boxes were soooooo much better. Still, for the price of the Ikea, they're better than a lot of others, so ultimately it's up to the consumer.
Yea!!! Got to see the finished island..good time, you are a hoot ..your surprised when "it works". ?
~~ Hilarious to see you take pot shots at yourself when you mess up like us. It's part of what makes your channel entertaining. Much enjoyment. Also appreciation for your actual mechanical skills from me. ~~
Great video, Eric! Love the birds on the wall too! 😉
How does ikea products hold up over ti
OK, there is no chance at all that I will ever buy a cabinet from Ikea, but I just enjoy watching your videos.
From my parents as a gift we get a very large cabinet. We can make fun of Ikea.In films and media it often happens but over 30 years i never had one bad word about this company/brand.I see that the quallity has changed over the years for the better. We get more solit iron parts. The pannels or parts nowadays are hollow but the finished product is better.Much better than Jysk the other Ikea like company. One of the advantages,, Ikea does not use child labour for production of Ikea products
thanks for great work. need to know how to actually hang the cabinet on railing on wall and how to secure it? pls and thanks
Those cabinet backs are such a deal breaker.
Help! I've put a LOT of IKEA things together before but I am having big problems understanding how to attach the drawer fronts! You ended this video honestly showing you had a problem too! Can you post a troubleshooter video on what can go wrong with the drawer assembly (seems like it depends on whether it's the top, middle, or bottom drawer as to which holes on the back of the drawers you use).
